Wargaming, the developers of the tank MMO World of Tanks, provide a taste of the promised “fun mode” with a gameplay trailer. This is called “Tank Rally” and will be open to WoT players from September 29 to October 12.
On a modified version of the map “Port”, teams compete on an obstacle course to be the first to cross the finish line. The tracked vehicles not only drive alongside each other but also make life difficult for each other with rocket fire and ramming tactics. But not only projectiles make the race an explosive experience. The creators also promise additional interaction possibilities, such as spectacular jumps that are supposed to bring a whole new dynamic to the free-to-play online shooter.
Unlike Formula 1, all participants of the rally are given the same competitive conditions. Without exception, the pilots only have access to the tank model “M24 Chaffee Sport”.
Mein MMO says: Wow, this strongly reminds us gaming nostalgic ones of the famous Mario Kart or even further back to the Amiga classic Super Cars. It’s a shame that the Tank Rally is of limited duration. The video looks like a very fun event that has been carefully crafted.
