With the Cataclysm, devastation entered World of Warcraft – Some regions were devastated – including Stormwind and Orgrimmar. With Patch 5.2, large parts of the cities were restored, but a blemish or memorial next to the Mage Quarter and Cathedral Square still remains: the formerly beautiful park.
Now, hope arose from a post on Twitter by Lead Content Designer Cory “Mumper” Stockton that the rest of Stormwind would also be repaired in Patch 6.0 or Warlords of Draenor.

The joy is, of course, immense, because many Alliance players – who care about their capital – criticize this state! But at the same time, the question arises: What about the other regions? When can one finally enjoy a sunset in Auberdine during a picnic again? Will the nasty craters in Azeroth perhaps be filled in again?

Will there be an event this time?
Not only for role-players, it would have been nice if the previous changes to the cities had come along with an event. There are enough Wowlers who care about their city, and it could have been turned into a little contest in phases to gradually carry out the reconstruction. Players could have gathered ores / stones for the walls, provisions for the hardworking workers, etc. But unfortunately, after a patch, one simply logs in and it has changed – that is really potential that Blizzard is missing out on.
