The fantasy MMO World of Warcraft wants to make it significantly cheaper for players to change which building they want to build in the respective zone for their outpost. This will allow them to acquire more followers at a lower cost.
At Blizzard, they have reconsidered whether the cost for a switch at the outposts is really too high. And they came to the conclusion: Yes, it is.
The switch in “Nagrand” will soon only cost 500 Gold. The switch in Gorgond, Talador, and the Spires of Arak will still cost 5,000 Gold. Players will still need to be level 100 to reverse their choice of which building they want to build. Currently, the cost for a switch per building is 10,000 Gold.
The special thing: The choice of the outpost also determines which followers the players get. Currently, there are some followers in the follower list that players cannot obtain without changing their choice of building. Each building has only one “set” of followers, while the other remains locked. These are “either-or” decisions unless one pays an unreasonably large amount of Gold. That will change soon. Then, players will only have to pay a rather unreasonable amount of Gold.
Players who change the building will keep their previous followers and can gain new ones.
The changes to the costs are set to take effect with the next server maintenance.
These eight followers depend on the outpost for the Horde
The following followers can be obtained for the Horde:
Gorgond: Spirit of the bony Xais + Bruto (training ring); Kaz the Screamer, Penny Kloppertopp (lumber mill)
Talador: Magister Krelas (Arcane Sanctum); Morketh Bladecry (artillery tower)
Spires of Arak: Dark Ranger Velonara (inn), Ziri’ak (trading post)
These eight followers depend on the outpost for the Alliance
And the following followers can be obtained by switching at the Alliance:
Gorgond: Rangari Erdanii, Pit Fighter Vaandaam (training ring); Rangari Kaalya, Glirin (lumber mill)
Talador: Magistra Serena (Arcane Sanctum); Miall (artillery tower)
Spires of Arak: Hulda Shadowblade (inn); Ziri’ak (trading post)
