World of Warcraft: What does today’s Patch 6.1. bring?

Today, Patch 6.1. goes live for World of Warcraft. It’s extremely large but mainly brings minor changes.

It’s quite intimidating to scroll through the list of what Patch 6.1. brings. However, almost all of it is just minor changes; it is, so to speak, the smallest biggest patch in the world, a lighthouse feature is missing:

• The perhaps biggest change for Twinkers: Heirlooms are making a huge comeback. They will have their own tab like toys, mounts, and pets.
• The Blood Elf models are new now, and changes are also made to other models.

• 

  Content stretching: There are a number of new achievements, which mainly revolve around collecting pets in old raids or raiding with Pepe on your head.
• Tweeting for everyone and support for color-blind players.
• Why not take a SELFIE
• Mario Kart at the Darkmoon Faire
• The legendary quest continues, now there is the first legendary companion in WoW
• Probably crucial for everyday life: The garrison gets numerous new visitors and larger minor features like a jukebox or summonable bosses; the goal is mainly to ensure that players also visit friends in the garrison
• Mount from level 1

• 

  Mini Bodyguards
• Graphic upgrades
• A new shop mount
• A bunch of changes to the companion missions
• Missing companions can be bought
• Apexis crystal items go up to iLvl670, but they are extremely expensive
• Veteran accounts ensure that former players do not have to create a new account.
• And numerous changes to talents and balance

Somehow, Patch 6.1, even though it brings so much, is missing that “one, decisive” feature that is really new. That’s probably why it’s so hard to remember exactly what the patch brings. The Blackrock Foundry has been up for a while.
