Necrology Robes
The second piece is a particularly stylish robe with a unique appearance, which used to be plentiful in Shadowfang Keep. “Back then,” before the Cataclysm, it was a regular drop in the castle and nothing special. However, with the changes that have been made to the instance since then, the level of many enemies has changed, and so have their drop chances for certain loot.
The Necrology Robes can still be found throughout the instance, but the probability per enemy is still below 0.001%. Since it is bound upon equipping, it can fetch a handsome sum, especially on roleplay servers (or among transmog enthusiasts). The lowest offers usually start at 100,000 gold, but prices of five times that have been seen.
Time-Lost Proto-Drake
Every player has probably heard of the Time-Lost Proto-Drake. It is a particularly rare mount that can only be found in the Storm Peaks of Northrend. It drops from the namesake rare spawn, which only appears every few days. As if that weren’t complicated enough, the dragon also shares the spawn location with another mob and flies hundreds of meters above the ground around the mountain peaks of the area.
The chance of randomly encountering it is very low, which is why many players place a twink in the Storm Peaks to search for the dragon once or twice a day.
