World of Warcraft is launching a new event. There are five weeks full of Timewalking and a nice new bonus.
It will still be a while until the release of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. To give players something to do in Battle for Azeroth, Blizzard releases a new event every few weeks. After the reputation bonus and the (still ongoing) XP bonus, there are now 5 weeks with special Timewalking events.
Additionally, there will be a reputation buff for all factions of the respective expansion during the week. During the “Wrath of the Lich King” Timewalking, you will receive 50% more reputation from all quests and kills for factions from Wrath of the Lich King.
What does it bring? Timewalking is mainly a good opportunity to level Twinks relatively quickly or to provide them with a solid starting gear. At the same time, Timewalking is great for farming a lot of transmog or getting some mounts for your collection.
Lastly, the reputation buff helps to become exalted with the different factions of the old expansions. After all, these factions still offer some rewards, such as titles or mounts, which can be worthwhile even at maximum level.
These are the dates: The Timewalking events will take place on the following dates.
- 06/24 – 06/30: The Burning Crusade
- 07/01 – 07/07: Wrath of the Lich King
- 07/08 – 07/14: Cataclysm
- 07/15 – 07/21: Mists of Pandaria
- 07/22 – 07/28: Warlords of Draenor
Whether these events will replace the usual bonus events (like the World Quest bonus event) is still unclear. It could be that several events will run in parallel.
The 50% reputation bonus will also remain for upcoming Timewalking events. So it’s worth not only visiting dungeons but also completing quests from the old factions.
Those who want to bridge the dry period until the next expansion or invitation to the Alpha/Beta of Shadowlands can set and fulfill some new goals with this event.
