Satisfying the community in World of Warcraft can sometimes be quite simple. Everyone knows that the true endgame is about transmog, and sometimes you just want your character to look nice. However, this requires appropriate clothing, which can sometimes be a bit revealing. For fans of such designs, 2026 starts perfectly – because the long-awaited chain bikini is finally here, which will find diverse applications immediately.
How do you get the clothing? The chain bikini is part of the Trading Post in January. There you can easily purchase the bikini for trader currencies. Since this is a cosmetic item, there are no restrictions on which classes can use the transmog. It can be worn by all cloth classes, as well as plate, chain, or leather classes – and of course by male characters, if that matters.
The cost is only 150 trader currencies, making the chain bikini clearly one of the cheaper transmog items.

Accordingly, the clothing is also well received in the World of Warcraft community. Because in a post where a Draenei player shows the outfit of their Man’ari Eredar, there are many positive comments:

Why is World of Warcraft “healing”? A few years ago, Blizzard was involved in a sexism scandal. As a result of the aftermath, there were also some adjustments in World of Warcraft. NPCs of problematic employees were renamed and even suggestive jokes and pick-up lines were removed without replacement or even pictures of lightly dressed women were replaced with fruit bowls. The last point is still often used as a meme in the community today.
The overwhelming opinion was that Blizzard went too far. This also raised concerns that “attractive” clothing would no longer be featured in the game. Even though it took a while, new items have repeatedly been introduced over the months that could at least counter this accusation. The chain bikini also belongs to this category.
By the way, this trend continues with Midnight. Because right now, an HD variant of the clothing has been found in the game files that will probably bring the most famous “slut mog” back to life: The Mage set.
