Mark Kern, the former team lead of WoW, has hired a programmer from Nostalrius.
Mark Kern was the “Team Lead” of World of Warcraft many years ago. Currently, he is developing the game Ember – which he renamed to “Em-8er” – after leaving Firefall a while back. This is supposed to be the game that the unfortunate MMO shooter “Firefall” unfortunately did not become for various reasons, he recently stated.
The project, he shares, is going so well that he needs support.

Spicy: For this, he has brought in a programmer from the “WoW Classic” server Nostalrius. He will assist him as a “Server Programmer”. This is supposed to provide the foundation for a multiplayer mode in Em-8er.
Kern is a controversial figure in the MMORPG genre – recently he vehemently sided with Nostalrius in the discussion about Classic Servers, when his former employer Blizzard shut down the pirate server.
