With Patch 8.1 you can transmogrifiy even more items in World of Warcraft. Some restrictions on weapons are now lifted!
If you spend a lot of time in World of Warcraft, you want not only the best gear but also to walk through Azeroth with style. For this purpose, there is the possibility of transmogrifikation. This allows you to customize the appearance of items and thus change the look of your character.
However, there are a number of restrictions. For example, plate wearers cannot transmogrifiy cloth clothing, and a bow cannot be transformed into a sword.
Some of these restrictions are being lifted with Patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance!
What is changing? With Patch 8.1, the restrictions on fist weapons will be relaxed. They can now be transformed into maces, one-handed axes, and one-handed swords. At the same time, maces, one-handed axes, and one-handed swords can also be styled with the appearance of fist weapons. The adjustment will take place in both directions.
Who benefits from this? The biggest beneficiaries of this change will likely be shamans, demon hunters, and rogues, who now finally have more options in the looks of their weapons. But monks, for example, now have additional designs to choose from.
Fans want even more: With Battle for Azeroth, especially the spellcasting classes, who now often use staves, wish that they could also overwrite the appearance of those. However, according to Blizzard, this is not possible because staves also have a ranged attack animation. This would look out of place with a dagger or sword in hand.
