Ashran receives special treatment in World of Warcraft: Legion. We have the details for you.
The Island War Continues
The Ashran battlefield divides opinions in World of Warcraft. While one half of the players celebrates the map for reminding them of the classic Alterac Valley and introducing cool new mechanics, the other half criticizes Ashran for being the only way to obtain good PvP gear and ultimately just a big zerg without tactical components.
After other “in-world” battlegrounds, such as Wintergrasp or Tol Barad, fell into obscurity with the release of the next expansion, Ashran will face a different fate: The map will be adjusted for players at level 110, and players can still sign up for it in Legion. Similar to “regular” battlegrounds, this will involve groups of up to 5 players at the same time.

Achievement hunters are likely to be pleased with this announcement, as the various Nemesis achievements, where you must kill 500 characters of a specific race, can only be completed in Draenor. The reputation for the respective faction can also be collected there (much easier) when you actually complete tasks and defeat enemy players. It’s helpful to continue giving players the opportunity to participate in Ashran.
However, whether it will still be as easy to obtain rewards as it currently is remains to be seen. Blizzard plans to fundamentally revamp PvP with Legion and introduce a new level system for PvPers.
