Yesterday, work was once again in full swing on the servers of World of Warcraft to deploy patch 5.4.8. When they came back up, it was possible, to upgrade items two times additionally and Garrosh’s heirloom weapons now have 8 item levels more. Additionally, two bosses were nerfed in the Raid Finder mode:
- General Nazgrim no longer calls for help at 10% health and
- Garrosh Hellscream will only go enraged after an incredible 25 minutes.
On the Timeless Isle, you can exchange 3,000 Timeless Coins for 100 Valor Points with Nebelwirkerin Ai at the Court of the Ascended.
So much for the patch notes. Yet, when the first players logged in, they struggled with frozen loading bars and missing NPCs. Moreover, mounts could no longer be used, spells couldn’t be cast, and mailboxes were lost – In short: Unplayable. By the afternoon, around 3 PM, everything was normal again after a server restart – even though players still complained about connection problems and lags.
