In World of Tanks, with Update 9.16, the first Swedish tank comes into play as a premium vehicle. The patch also offers a new map in the French capital Paris, as well as sound upgrades.
In World of Tanks, the first tank from cold Sweden rumbles across the battlefields with Update 9.16. It is actually just a model, as the “Strv m/42-57 Alt A.2” is currently the only tank of the Northerners that we can drive in Wargaming’s tank hunt.
The Swedish Frenchman
The Strv m/42-57 Alt A.2 is a medium tank that fights at Tier VI. It is equipped with a French combat turret that comes from the AMX 13. Therefore, the Strv m/42-57 Alt A.2 also has an automatic loader, which is actually typical for French tanks, making it the first Tier 6 tank with this feature. Unfortunately, the Strv m/42-57 Alt A.2 is not available through regular gameplay and is only accessible as a premium tank for real money.
France was not only the main sponsor of the Strv m/42-57 Alt A.2, but the new map “Paris” also comes from the land of the French. By the way, this new map will appear twice as often in random battles until October 19. In addition to these changes, the developers have packed even more new features into Update 9.16, including improved sound, a comparison option for tanks in the garage, and much more.
