Wargaming is known for bringing all sorts of silly game modes for April Fool’s Day. This year, World of Tanks on Xbox One and PS4 features a crazy tank battle on Mars.
April Fool’s Day is a great opportunity for many developers to offer silly game modes. This also applies to Wargaming, who in the past have amused players with silly ideas like the 8-bit pixel tanks or tank football for the European Championship. Or the tank battles with round IS tanks for April Fool’s Day 2016.
For April 1, 2017, the silliness continues. This time in the console versions of World of Tanks and on Mars!
World of Tanks: Mars Tank – Completely Detached!
The April event 2017 takes place on the consoles Xbox One and Playstation 4. Instead of a round moon tank, you’ll drive a “Lunar Chaffee” around on Mars. There is much lower gravity there than on Earth, which is why your tanks float effortlessly through the red wasteland!
While on the go, you collect power-ups or get shot at by spaceships with teleport beams. This way you can appear anywhere on the map, ideally behind the enemies. By the way, your tank has a cool laser mounted, which fits perfectly to the Mars setting. Just select the Lunar Chaffee, which was released specifically for this event, from your vehicle list, join a battle, and you’re on Mars!
If you want to rock Mars on Xbox or PS4, you should take the weekend off, because the tank fun only takes place from March 31 to April 2, 2017.
