The tank game World of Tanks massively increases the action with the game mode “Grand Battles”. The game mode comes with Update 9.20 and brings battles between two teams of 30 players on an extra large new map.
In World of Tanks, you usually play in a team of 15 players against an equally sized team on the opposite side. Whoever completely wipes out the enemy or captures and holds tactical points long enough wins. However, many players wished for larger tank battles on a more expansive map. This wish is now coming true.
World of Tanks – Grand Battles with 60 tanks!
The new game mode “Grand Battles” came with the recently released Update 9.20. The Grand Battles are characterized by the following features:
- Each team consists of 30 tanks
- Only Tier 10 tanks are allowed to participate. Grand Battles are thus a purely endgame content.
- The only currently available map for Grand Battles is called “Nebelburg” and covers 1.4×1.4 kilometers
- There are three starting points per team
- Each team may contain a maximum of 4 self-propelled guns
- The usual rules of standard battles apply. A round still lasts 15 minutes.
In addition to credits and experience points, the reward for the Grand Battles includes the coveted war bonds, which you can use to further upgrade your equipment. Previously, bonds were only available in ranked battles, which brought a lot of criticism and frustration as many players felt disadvantaged.
Also keep in mind that Wargaming is still testing the Grand Battles. So things may change depending on the feedback.
