In Diablo 4 there are some couples who roam through Sanctuary together. A woman has given her husband several boss mats and supported him in tough battles. As a result, he received a really fancy item – and she came away empty-handed. Jokingly, she now says: This game has me thinking about divorce.
In a post on Reddit, McStaken shares that she and her husband recently returned to Diablo 4. Together, they are playing through the campaign, trying out new content – the fun is great. Until the moment when her husband scores a fancy item after a boss fight that she has never seen before.
What item did he get? According to McStaken, her husband got “The Diadem of the Ancients.” The diadem is a cosmetic headgear that you can obtain as a drop from the boss Lord Zir. You can activate cosmetics simply with a click and add them to your wardrobe. After that, you can spruce up your equipment with cosmetics. You can see what the diadem looks like further down.

Why is the woman jealous? In her Reddit post titled “This game has me thinking about divorce,” McStaken reports that she is “a grinder” and basically the “human embodiment of RNGesus.” This means: When something really good can drop somewhere, it happens with her. Now, however, her luck stat seems to be broken.
She has farmed boss mats, rebuilt her huntress into a deadly trap, and is now playing on torment level 3. Her husband has found that he is too “squishy” (fragile, easily vulnerable) for torment level 2.
So she thought: No problem! She generously let him use her hard-earned boss mats so that he can also open the loot chests after the boss fights. Together, they then dove into the boss fights – and when it got tough, she could also take down the boss by herself.
Lord Zir is one of the couple’s favorite bosses. And in addition to certain uniques, there is also a chance for the cosmetic “The Diadem of the Ancients” with Zir. And exactly that is what her husband “just casually” got. She herself had never seen it – and was then “furiously angry”.
The player emphasizes that the title of the post is of course not to be taken seriously. At the end of the post, she adds that she was lucky after all and received the fancy diadem later as a drop.
