The action RPG Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem has received the new update 1.0.5 as announced, even a bit earlier than expected. The patch brings bug fixes and has heavily nerfed the strongest build in the game, the Bleeding Build. We take a look at the patch notes.
What does Patch 1.0.5 include? It was already clear in advance that the next two updates would fix some important bugs in Wolcen. Now the first patch is here and we know what has changed with update 1.0.5:
- An exploit was fixed that allowed players to stack temporary productivity bonuses.
- A problem was fixed where the Act III boss remained invulnerable and froze when he should have died. Additionally, there were some nerfs for him.
- It is now impossible to increase the quality of an item that is already at the highest quality level.
- A problem was fixed that caused the loot level during expeditions to be lower than expected.
Update nerfs Bleeding Edge
The overpowered build around the skill “Bleeding Edge” (English: Bleeding Edge) has also been greatly weakened at several levels with the update. The changes all relate to the upgrade “Unstoppable Momentum”, which had greatly increased the damage of the skill when debuffs were stacked on the enemy:
- The damage multiplier per status effect stack has been reduced from 20% to 2%.
- The damage gain per level has been corrected from 1 to 0.
- The upgrade of the skill has a cooldown of 10 seconds added.
- The damage reduction has been increased from -100 to -150.
In exchange for the nerf, summoning abilities were significantly strengthened and the summoned creatures’ behavior was adjusted, so they now move faster and attack targets from further away.
What else has changed? With the update, the ability to convert unique items into legendary items has been removed.
It cannot be ruled out that the option will be reintroduced, but this will only happen when the conversion works properly.

Some bugs are still not fixed
What is still missing in the update? However, the new patch has by no means fixed everything that players are complaining about. Fixes are still lacking for:
- The Act 1 boss, who sometimes becomes invulnerable
- Unlocked colors that are sometimes lost
- Characters that do not appear in offline mode
Also, the bug that drove a Twitch streamer to immediately uninstall Wolcen is not mentioned in the patch notes at least.
Until new bug fixes are available, players have to be patient first. The next update may only be released next week.
