Good Wolcen Build for Beginners
Your Main Attributes
- Wildness: Increases your chance for critical hits and spells.
The Frost Ranger build relies entirely on Wildness. Critical hits are important, so invest every 10 points per level you gain into Wildness. From level 50 onwards, you can invest points in Wisdom to further increase the chance of freezing. Agility might sound reasonable for a ranger build, but your attacks are already fast enough. Therefore, you should distribute your attributes as follows: Wildness > Wisdom > Agility | Toughness.
Your Talents
- Stings of Krearion: Frontal AOE attack.
- Wail of the Arrow: AOE attack at your mouse pointer position.
- Phantom Blades: Frontal attack without rage cost. Breaks through multiple enemies in a line.
- “Death’s Harbinger” Railgun: High damage in the effect area. When the shot is charged, the effect area decreases, but the damage increases.
- Mark of Uncleanliness: Curses the target and increases damage taken.

Skills for the Frost Ranger Build in Wolcen
With each level, you receive a talent point that you can invest in the talent tree. The skill tree in Wolcen is quite complex and allows you to experiment a lot.
For the Frost Ranger, the following points are suitable:
You need these main skills: Various main skills are important for this build. How you ultimately achieve them is up to you. However, pay attention to increasing critical damage, crit chance, status effect chance, and frost damage.
Area Guardian (First Circle)
- “Background Hunter” increases your overall attack and spell speed by 50%
Area Ranger (Second Circle)
- “Come what may” projectiles penetrate every target within 6m. Suitable for melee
- “Meditative Focus” increases damage by 25% against enemies that are more than 6m away. Suitable for ranged
- “Teaching of the Archon” reduces projectile damage by 50%, increases the fired projectiles by +1. Important for Phantom Blades
Area White Arrow (Third Circle)
- “Winter Hail” causes projectiles to bounce and jump to the next enemy. Causes additional frost damage
- “Acute Tracking” gives you a Cold-Blooded point every 2 seconds. With each point, your damage increases by 10%. Stackable up to 5 times
Area Assassin (Second Circle)
- “Ruthless Lethality” increases critical hit damage by 100%, decreases normal damage by 30%
What to Pay Attention to When Equipping
- Bow with frost damage. Optionally equipped with an Offensive 1 socket and a diamond for additional frost damage.
- Armor with critical damage
- + Frost damage on physical attack
- Crit chance
- Elemental damage and status effect chance
- Wildness > Wisdom > Agility | Toughness
How to Use the Frost Ranger Build in Wolcen
The frost build is easy to play. Especially in the lower level range, use Wail of the Arrow and Stings of Krearion to quickly decimate large groups. The Phantom Blades are excellent when your rage is at 0. Use the “Death’s Harbinger” Railgun on bosses and champion groups to deal high damage. Mark of Uncleanliness is initially only effective against champions and bosses but has its appeal in large groups at later levels.
Keep your distance and fire from afar. The Frost Ranger can quickly topple, slow down enemies with frost damage, and freeze them.
