Players in World of Warcraft can drastically shorten their travel time. A new portal to Stratholme especially helps the Alliance.
If you want to travel quickly all over the world in World of Warcraft, you can use portals for that. However, there are still some places that are hardly accessible and require many minutes of travel time. With Patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara, there is the opportunity for a new, useful portal that many players may have missed. We reveal how you can unlock it and have a permanent connection to Stratholme.
Pet Battle Dungeon brings new portal: Patch 8.2 brought the new Pet Battle Dungeon Stratholme. So players do not have to travel painstakingly there, the little elemental Manapaff (English: Manapoof) can teleport players there upon request. You just need to accept the quest from Breanni and complete the Pet Battle Dungeon once. Afterwards, you can talk to Manapaff again and he will teleport you directly to Stratholme!
What needs to be done? To keep the portal connection permanently active, you must complete the Pet Battle Dungeon Stratholme at least once in normal mode. You will need some pets at level 25. Especially small pets are suitable as they are particularly effective against the undead. If you haven’t dealt with Pet Battles at all, you’ll now find a nice incentive with the portals. Once you have completed the dungeon and turned in the associated quest, Manapaff can teleport you again and again.
Where can you find Manapaff? Manapaff appears in a total of three locations in World of Warcraft. They are located in Dalaran (Legion) and one each in Boralus and Dazar’Alor. This way players of both factions have access to the little elemental.
What does the portal bring? A portal to Stratholme is especially worthwhile for the Alliance as there is no capital nearby. From there, many dungeons are very easy to reach, such as Stratholme itself, as well as Scholomance, the Scarlet Monastery, or Zul’Aman. If you like collecting transmog gear or need one or the other mount (like the skeleton horse from the Stratholme final boss), you will probably use the portal often.
Other portals exist for the other Pet Battle Dungeons, namely:
- The Caves of Woe
- Gnomeregan
- Death Mines
Just for faster travel options, the pet battles are a nice option.
