The new battle royale mode “Nuclear Winter” is currently entertaining players in Fallout 76. One of the developers has now come forward and revealed a trick that makes winning easier, but hardly anyone pays attention to it.
What is this trick? Developer Marc Tardif talked about the possibilities players have in the new battle royale of Fallout 76 . One of these possibilities is apparently forgotten by players, especially the veterans of the game: blueprints.
In the new battle royale, players are allowed to set up a C.A.M.P., similar to the structures in Fortnite. Unlike the competitor, however, in Fallout 76, blueprints for a C.A.M.P. can already be saved in adventure mode.
If you create a blueprint in adventure mode, you can easily set it up in Nuclear Winter with a click without having to painstakingly connect all the parts individually.
How to use blueprints correctly
What are blueprints? Blueprints are saved templates for camps that you can set up. They represent all the components that you have built in your C.A.M.P.
With a blueprint, you can easily place a saved C.A.M.P. somewhere in the world if space and terrain allow it. The corresponding parts are either taken from storage or built directly from available resources.
To create a blueprint, you first need to set up your C.A.M.P. as desired. Then, in edit mode, a button will be displayed at the bottom that allows you to save the blueprints. This differs depending on the platform.
You will find the blueprints when editing under the “Blueprints” tab, which is located quite early in the selection.
These blueprints are worth it: With the blueprints, you can create crazy C.A.M.P.s. To have decent blueprints available in battle royale, we have some basic tips for you to quickly and easily set up a good camp:
- build as small a foundation as possible and expand it upwards. Small foundations collide less often with the ground
- allocate a large part of the budget for turrets. These will help you the most in Nuclear Winter
- consider a small “safe room” where you can retreat if you are being besieged
- design the blueprint so that opponents cannot easily invade without being stopped by defensive structures
- remember that you also need a way to enter the camp. Blocking everything is also not ideal
If you want to try it out, you can still play both adventure mode and Nuclear Winter for free until June 17:
