In Monster Hunter Wilds, event quests are regularly available, allowing you to unlock useful items and materials as well as cosmetic equipment. Since today, April 9, 2025, there is a new quest that places a small creature on your head. This reminds many of a well-known monster from the predecessor.
What kind of quest is it? Monster Hunter Wilds offers regularly new event quests that not only provide cooking materials, armor spheres, or hunting ranks as rewards but also cosmetic content that interests a large part of the community the most.
One of the new event quests available since April 9, 2025, features a quirky headdress that places a funny-looking bird on your head, which is also not shaken in battle. Some players find the bird reminiscent of a well-known monster from previous titles.

What is this event quest? Currently, you have the opportunity to take on the event quest The Song of the Quematrice
. This is a 4-star quest in the Wind Plains where you need to defeat a Quematrice. Once you accomplish this, you unlock the headgear Amphikauz Alpha
.
In its standard colors, it is a green amphibious bird that sits comfortably on your head. As usual, you can adjust the colors in your tent. You can complete the quest until April 23, 2025. You can accept event quests from Alma at the tent or at the new community area at the counter.
How is the community reacting to the headgear? Other users like @Fran_Lancer (via x.com) are waiting for a completely different quest: I need the scarf event as soon as possible
