In Monster Hunter Wilds, the second event quest has started, providing an easy way to obtain valuable resources for upgrading your armor this week.
What kind of quest is this? From March 12 to March 19, 2025, you can harvest valuable armor spheres through the event quest “Tongue Twister,” which can be used to upgrade and enhance your armor.
To participate in the quest, you must be at least Hunter Rank 21. You also need to have completed the lower-ranked quests and started the higher-ranked ones. Then you can start the quests under the “Event Quests” section with Alma.
The hunt has a difficulty level of 5★ and upon completion, you will receive several armor spheres III and IV, which you can directly invest in upgrades at the forge.
The quest therefore offers a quick and relatively easy way to secure as many armor spheres as possible—especially since you only have to face a relatively easy monster.
Quickly farm armor spheres with Chatacabra
What do you need to do for the quest? To get the armor spheres, you simply need to hunt a hardened Chatacabra. Whether you capture or slay it is up to you.
This variant is somewhat stronger than its normal counterpart but is still easy to handle. Since Chatacabra is the very first monster hunters encounter in Monster Hunter Wilds, it comes with especially simple mechanics.
Chatacabra mainly focuses on single targets, uses the environment sparingly, and offers easy attack opportunities. Thus, it is a quickly manageable challenge for newcomers once they get accustomed to it.
Why is it worth farming armor spheres through the quest? Given that Chatacabra is fundamentally quick and easy to hunt, even in its hardened variant, you can quickly gather many armor spheres through the multiple completions of the quest.
And you’ll need them if you want to upgrade one or more armors. Because for the upgrades, not only single but a whole lot of spheres are required—even if they are so high in quality. In addition, armor spheres are more random loot in other hunts, here you can secure them. So you should take this opportunity.
If you don’t have time to farm during the quest period, you probably don’t need to be sad. In the past, event quests often returned, so the opportunity will certainly arise again.
