Destiny 2 will bring not only more content in the upcoming Season 10 but also fix numerous technical issues. Some of these have been bothering players for quite some time and are quite annoying.
This is how Destiny 2 wants to improve performance: With the start of the Season 10 on March 10, 2020, several adjustments will be made in Destiny 2. The developers talk about the following improvements:
- the UI stuttering and framerate drops when loading and equipping mods will be fixed
- the framerate in Gambit and Gambit Prime is expected to improve
- Framerate issues when encountering the “Consecrated Mind” boss in the Garden of Salvation raid will be resolved
- Framerate issues in the Dungeon Pit of Heresy (especially in tunnels) will be resolved
- stuttering at high framerates on PC will be fixed
- general performance improvements for PC when there are a lot of debris around
Especially the first part concerning the UI and mods is something that has been greatly annoying players for a while now. The issue is not only with delays in the interface but also with travel times to the Tower. Both will be addressed by the developers.
Better performance, improvements to items
What else is changing with Season 10: The performance changes are only a small part of the update. There will be numerous changes to exotics and many armors will be revamped.
Developer Bungie is also reworking the possible power level of players with Season 10. Normal drops from all sources go up to level 950, powerful armor up to level 1000, and pinnacle armor even up to level 1010.
There is still active work on the influence of the seasonal artifact. The item caused quite a stir among PvP players even before its release.
