What is the Summer Game Fest all about? Shortly, on June 12, one of the most important video game fairs of the year starts with the E3 2021. But before that, there is another exciting event for gamers that should not be missed if you’re interested in new games or news about existing games – namely the Summer Game Fest.

This gaming event is produced by the well-known host Geoff Keighley and also revolves around news from the video game industry. Similar to the E3, all kinds of new announcements and trailers from renowned game studios will be waiting for fans there.

By the way: Even though many players and fans consider all gaming events taking place at this time as part of the E3 (whether officially or not) – officially, the Summer Game Fest does not belong to the E3 and is a completely separate event.

Why shouldn’t you miss the Summer Game Fest? It’s easy to explain: A lot of developers and publishers have committed to the fest – including big names like Activision, Blizzard, 2K, Amazon Games, Capcom, Epic Games, Sony, Microsoft, Square Enix, and Gearbox. Additionally, it is already known that there will be at least 12 new announcements during the opening, with more than 30 games to be shown.

And it is already known that, for example, the new joint Season 4 of CoD Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be revealed. So there are bound to be some exciting news there – even before the E3.

When does the Summer Game Fest take place exactly? On Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 8:00 PM German time, the multi-day event begins with a kickoff, which is a starting show, followed by more events until June 23. The highlight is likely to be the aforementioned opening show on June 10.
