This is the trick: On Reddit, the user “deltaforcestron” shares a video showing how he destroys an enemy vehicle. He mentions that this is actually known from Battlefield:
To do this, he equips his own vehicle with C4 and selects an enemy vehicle. He accelerates and heads straight for the opponent. Just before the collision, he jumps out of the car and detonates the C4. Both his own car and the enemy’s vehicle explode, and he gets credited with the kills.
