Hayden Christensen portrayed Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader in the 2nd Star Wars trilogy. As he revealed in an interview, a small wish of his was fulfilled through the Ahsoka series.
Hayden Christensen returned as Anakin Skywalker after Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith from 2005 for the two series Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022) and Ahsoka (2023).
In an interview on February 12, 2024 with Empire Magazine, he shared that he was excited about returning to the Star Wars universe and why a fan wish of his was fulfilled with Ahsoka.

“Man, it would be so cool to see some of that in live action”
“The scenes that I got to play as Anakin in Ahsoka were a point on my wish list that I didn’t even know I had,” the actor explained in the interview.
For as he prepared for the role in the Obi-Wan series, he delved deeply into the Clone Wars – and he was excited, just like many other Star Wars fans.
The actor continued: “I remember thinking: ‘Man, it would be so cool to see some of that in live action. This was described to me by George Lucas when we were working on Episode III, the things that happened between Episode II and III.'”
When Hayden Christensen then learned from Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau that they wanted to explore this in more detail in their series, the actor was immediately on board. In hindsight, he was also completely satisfied with the final result.

Furthermore, the actor expressed his pleasure in having the opportunity to give his character even more depth through Obi-Wan Kenobi and portray the transition from Anakin to Darth Vader even more accurately:
“The scenes I got to play as Darth Vader in Obi-Wan were very important to me. The opportunity to give the character a bit more substance and to bridge the gap to Vader a bit more is a very rewarding thing.”
