The Pit is part of the ultimate endgame in Diablo 4. Many players are battling for the leaderboards and who can complete the stages the fastest. However, with Season 7 came a bug that makes The Pit a walk in the park.
What has been discovered? Diablo 4 has introduced witch powers with Season 7. Similar to the vampire powers from Season 2, players now have the chance to enhance their builds with it to become even more powerful. However, some fans have found a bug with a witch power that turns your protagonist into a killing machine.

Damage at the limit makes The Pit look like a joke
How powerful is the bug? The bug is so powerful that players can effortlessly complete Pit level 150 with even weaker classes from the current meta, such as the Spiritborn, in less than 3 minutes. Note that the previous “honest” record for the Spiritborn was 9 minutes and only completed level 120.
The reason for these strong performances is the witch power “Decay-Increase”. The description reveals the following:
Your witch power effects deal an additional 21% of their base damage over 5 seconds. This damage is caused as bleeding, burning, poison, or shadow damage over time, depending on your class.
At rank 10: If your damage over time exceeds 85% of the target’s total life, the target is executed.
The news site “Polygon” had already contacted Blizzard about this effect to inquire whether it is a bug or a feature. According to Blizzard, it is a bug that the team is currently investigating quickly.
How long will the bug last? That cannot be said for sure. Blizzard has different approaches depending on the bug and problem regarding how long they leave these errors in the game. If it is a bug that prevents items from dropping or affects trading, these are usually fixed within a few days.
However, if it is more of an error in favor of the players, such as exorbitant damage numbers for one or more classes, a fix is often delayed so that fans can enjoy it.
