Henry Cavill is likely a familiar name to many gamers; he has appeared in several video game and comic adaptations in films and series. The famous actor has now built a top gaming PC, and hundreds of thousands have watched it. MeinMMO hopes that he wisely uses this PC for our entertainment.
Who is Henry Cavill? Those who are not familiar with the name might know Cavill from the Netflix series “The Witcher” (via GameStar.de) or from the movie “Man of Steel” (2013, via Filmstarts.de). Cavill played the lead role as Geralt of Rivia or Superman in these works.
Why a video of Cavill is exploding: In a roughly five-minute video, which Cavill shared today, on July 16, on his Instagram account, he assembles his own gaming PC. He meticulously puts all the parts together, backed by music that has a somewhat erotic quality.
As an actor, he knows how to present himself and showcases everything from start to finish. The individual parts are among the best currently available for PCs on the market, featuring a Ryzen 9 processor and an RTX 2080 Ti for graphics.
The video received over a million views and almost 300,000 likes in just three hours.
We hope that Cavill uses his new Hell machine to present himself in the gaming scene. Twitch would be the ideal platform for that, and a game has already been found: World of Warcraft.
Geralt and WoW on Twitch would be cool
Why World of Warcraft? Cavill is an avowed WoW player, for quite some time now. Already in 2016, he revealed in an interview that he nearly missed a call from director and producer Zack Snyder because he was still busy in a WoW dungeon (via PC Games). Snyder offered him the role of Superman in “Man of Steel,” the role that marked Cavill’s breakout as an actor.
Additionally, World of Warcraft will soon have its new expansion Shadowlands. This would be the perfect time to start streaming with a game that is currently experiencing a major hype.
World of Warcraft has already claimed the top spot on Twitch with the current expansion, Battle for Azeroth, even surpassing Fortnite. So there is a good chance that Shadowlands will achieve this as well.
The beta of Shadowlands is currently live, for which you can register to hopefully receive an invitation. Since the beta of each addon has lasted about four months in the past, we expect a release around November 2020.
What speaks for streaming? There are more and more public figures who talk about their gaming hobby and also show themselves while playing.
Streaming is a good opportunity to utilize acting skills to entertain fans. This has already been discovered by the German comedian Kaya Yanar, who has been showing GTA on Twitch for some time – often in a role as Ranjid or Hakan.
There are no indications that Cavill will start streaming on Twitch
Whether Cavill will also start streaming is something we cannot say. Currently, there are no indications of that. Henry Cavill has not hinted at anything in that direction. The video of the PC assembly was published by Cavill completely out of context on Instagram. Filming for the second season of The Witcher is also set to begin in August.
