At the Game Developers Conference 2022, developer CD Projekt Red announced their next Witcher game. What you can expect from the sudden announcement will be revealed in the new episode of the MeinMMO Podcast.
This is what happened: A news spread like wildfire through the gaming community on March 21: The new Witcher game has been announced! A flood of reactions overwhelmed forums and social media.
Many of them were euphoric and celebrated the announcement. Others were more cautious and repeatedly mentioned the problematic launch of Cyberpunk 2077.
So far, however, very little is known about the game. It is said to be open world again and tell an entirely new story that is not based on the book’s template. Players also do not need prior knowledge of the previous games to understand this new story.
