How does PvP work in Diablo 4? The developers have already revealed the first details about player-versus-player content in Diablo 4. It is clear that you can fight against other players in Blizzard’s upcoming action RPG. However, you will not be forced into PvP.
In the huge Shared World of Diablo 4, you can expect PvP zones where fights can take place against the characters of other players. In other areas, you will also meet players but cannot fight against them.
Is it fair? No, the player-versus-player fights in Diablo 4 are not always fair. This is because no balanced arena is built where you can brawl with other players. When you enter a PvP zone, you agree to be vulnerable to other players. It doesn’t matter if they attack you alone or in a group.
Your characters may also be ganked repeatedly in the PvP zones. Blizzard is quite clear about this: “We do not promise players that it will be a fair fight”
Do I have to play PvP? No, it is not mandatory. You do not have to visit these PvP zones. There are no exclusive, powerful items waiting for you there. Those interested in the story will play it alone anyway. No one is forced into these fights.
