When developer DICE hinted three weeks ago that there will be no server browser, alarm bells went off among fans. Not only because they see the browser as a standard feature, but also because some interpret this to mean that there may be no dedicated servers. Some feared it could be like Destiny, where players become hosts with all the associated problems.
In Destiny, the solution without dedicated servers resulted in lag and frustration.
However, there can now be reassurance: Star Wars Battlefront will launch with dedicated servers. This was told by the Battlefront Lead Designer Jamie Keen to the site Playstationlifestyle on the sidelines of the gaming expo in Tokyo.
