Yesterday, Mike Donatelli, the Product Director of WildStar, publicly spoke out and wrote a few sentences about the current state of the game. While most of it is already known, we have summarized the key points for you.
Regular Updates: 4 per Year Instead of 12
At the beginning of WildStar, it was planned to release a content drop every month – but the hard reality stood in the way of the developers, as the rapid releases caused a multitude of bugs. They have now decided to provide one major patch per quarter and only then, when all bugs have truly been fixed – quality over quantity is the motto here.
Megaservers
At the beginning of WildStar, there was a huge influx of players, which is why as many servers as possible were needed – this capacity is no longer necessary, and so that players do not have to spend hours searching for an instance group on deserted servers, all realms will be merged into megaservers.
