In WildStar, the servers have been merged again – but the reasons for this are different than one might first think.

In WildStar, the servers have been merged again in the past few days. Due to the rather negative news surrounding Carbine’s MMORPG in recent days, one might think that this is due to low player numbers. However, this is not the case. The server merger only concerns the “emergency servers” that were launched with the Free2Play variant of WildStar to minimize server load. In the meantime, the large influx of players has subsided (and a whole lot of players have also vanished without a trace), allowing the servers to be smoothly merged again.
What to do when the entire interface is reset after a server switch in WildStar?
If you have played on a server ending in “-2” (like “Jabbit-2” or “Luminai-2”), you will find that your user interface has been reset to default settings. You can either set everything up again from scratch or copy the interface folder from the “old” “-2” folder to the new one without this suffix.
By the way, if you have 2 characters on both servers and would now exceed your “account maximum” with the 4 characters, there is nothing to worry about. All characters remain accessible. However, deleting characters does not grant you new character slots!
