In the upcoming WildStar patch “INVASION: Nexus“, the focus will primarily be on customizing the gaming experience, alongside the new quest system. To this end, the costume adjustment system will be fundamentally overhauled and finally a variety of small companions will be introduced!
Holo-Wardrobe: Costumes 2.0
The good Protostar representative, who was previously employed as an appearance designer, will likely lose his job. In the future, costumes can be comfortably and universally customized without having to travel to Thayd or Illium first.
Unlocked armor parts can be dyed as usual and can now also be used in different sets with various colors simultaneously. Gone are the days when you had to buy the same shoes three times just to use them as the basis for every outfit! The different looks can even be saved account-wide.
If your Spellslinger has earned a cool look, you could also apply it to your Esper or vice versa. Additionally, there will be account-bound outfits that will be awarded during seasonal events – though no details are available yet and that sounds a bit like wishful thinking.
Pet Collecting Madness!
Just a companion system, like the ones World of Warcraft or Guild Wars 2 have had for ages, has often been requested by players. Although these little followers serve no gameplay purpose, they are a cosmetic feature that is hardly absent in today’s MMO generation.
And that’s precisely why WildStar is now introducing 54 of these companions into the game, which can be acquired all over Nexus: defeating dungeon bosses, browsing merchant wares, and also while doing everyday quests, some cute little animals can be found. And who wouldn’t want their own vegetable-like creature following them around? Or how about a little Lopp that ensures justice, order, and sharp spears?
The next content drop will likely be delayed for several weeks. However, at the end, it has already been mildly spoiled that there will also be significant changes in the housing area.
