With the upcoming content update for WildStar, “INVASION: Nexus“, there will be a new raid instance for all characters at max level. The new zone is called “Initialization Core Y-83” and differs in several aspects from previous instances.
No Attunement, but 2 Difficulty Levels
Unlike usual, there is no need to complete a lengthy questline to gain access to the new raid area this time. However, there is a short introduction for those interested in the story. The brief questline in the “Corruption” area explains historical contexts and makes it clear why one should put out the life lights of the Primary Evolution Operator promptly. By the way, this is also the only boss to fight, experienced players should be able to manage it in about 30 minutes.
However, there is a special feature: The boss can be approached in two different difficulty levels to offer new content to as many players as possible. In the easier variant, one should expect similar resistance as with “Doomshade Ohmna” from the Genarchiv. However, those particularly brave or particularly bored can initiate the fight by activating the “organic flamethrower”, which raises the difficulty of the enemy to the level of the elemental pairs in the data zone.
New Loot
Of course, defeating the operator rewards with abundant loot, including new equipment pieces, brand new rune sets with unique bonuses, and lots of housing decorations that cannot be found anywhere else. Those who complete the encounter at the higher difficulty level can even look forward to a special reward – perhaps an exclusive mount?
Originally, this fight was planned for the Genarchiv, which would have overloaded the instance.
