WildStar breaks the limits for class and race selection. Two new combinations have now been announced.
New Combinations: Aurin Tech Pioneers and Chua Warriors
Since the early beta days, Carbine has embraced the motto “Devs are listening”. Therefore, there are always posts in the official WildStar forum where the community and developers discuss the future of the game. In the latest “DevConnect”, the possibility of new combinations of races and classes was discussed – there are still some restrictions. At the end of the post, the developers released two screenshots that show the first new combinations that will be added to the game.
Chua will soon be able to become warriors and Aurin will don the armor of a tech pioneer to bring death and destruction to all enemies of nature together with their bots.
Additionally, it has been announced that with the introduction of these two combinations, there will also be a change of race and gender in the Chop Shop, the customization NPC in WildStar. Those who wish can transform their Aurin Assassin into a Mordesh or their Draken Warrior into a Cassian woman.
However, there is still no exact date for the implementation of these changes.
Cortyn says: While many players are surely excited about the new features and are more inclined to try out a Chua or an Aurin, this change rubs me the wrong way. Especially lore-wise, I can only roll my eyes when Aurin, who lost their planet due to machines and robots, now use those same machines. That just doesn’t fit with the lore, at least in my understanding, and seems more tailored to players who care only about aesthetics. But maybe I am wrong, and Carbine has a coherent explanation in mind. I hope so, at least.
