Carbines SciFi-MMORPG WildStar will transition to a free-to-play model this fall. Along with this change, there will be large-scale adjustments to the existing game systems to appeal to a broader customer base.
Introduction videos for all classes

To make it clear to newcomers what to expect when choosing a class, introduction videos will be available during character creation in WildStar. This will ensure that players can quickly recognize whether a class is a sturdy melee fighter with a huge sword or a fragile ranged fighter with mind explosions. Similar videos will also be provided for choosing the path, so that no one wonders afterwards why a Scout has to solve jumping puzzles all the time.
Value Adjustments – Retroactively for ALL Items
With the big fall update, many of the existing main attributes will be removed, as they have often led to confusion. Instead of “Moxie”, “Finesse” or “Techpower”, easily understandable values like “Attack Power” and “Health” will be found on the items. As part of this transition, all items will be revised. All quest rewards will also be re-evaluated and adjustments made to provide all classes with reasonable equipment for all specifications. However, the actual power of player characters should not change with this transition.
