For about two weeks now, the MMORPG Wildstar is also playable on the Steam platform. How has this affected the online game?
The Steam launch was important for Wildstar. Player numbers were declining, and employees had to leave the company. Through Steam, it is possible to reach a large number of players. Games that are additionally published on Steam usually gain many new players.
WildStar on Steam still successful

What does it look like for Wildstar now? Since June 9, the MMORPG can also be played via Steam, and the numbers show a fairly good start for the humorous online game on Valve’s platform. As can be seen from the Steam charts, an average of 1,154 players have been playing the MMO on Steam concurrently over the past 30 days. At peak times, there were even 5,040 players simultaneously.
Steamspy shows that nearly 334,000 players own Wildstar, and in the last two weeks about 201,000 players have played the MMO. In the past 24 hours, nearly 3,800 players were simultaneously in the game at peak times. The numbers have remained consistently high since our last post on the successful Steam launch of WildStar. Some readers had feared that the MMORPG would quickly drop off after the first trial days. However, interest has hardly waned.
