In Wildstar the popular hoverboard racing inspired by the movie “Back to the Future” is back. Just like last year, our heroes in NCSoft’s colorful MMORPG can once again treat their boards with speed wax and complete wacky racetracks accompanied by flame trails.
Every year the so-called “zPrix” comes to WildStar. It’s a totally cool event where we use the typical hoverboards from WildStar for all sorts of wild racing courses. We zip through areas of the game that have been quickly transformed into racetracks at breakneck speed. We have to drive through numerous rings and boosters and jump to gain valuable speed boosts.
Hoverboard Goodies and Costumes
Because only with top speed can we achieve the necessary best times for particularly cool goodies. These include special costumes and items that all fit well with the theme of “Back to the Future”. For example, an emote that simulates a lightning strike with “1.21 GigaZapp”, a flame trail animation, or the hoverboard rider costume inspired by Marty McFly’s future outfit.
This year’s zPrix in WildStar starts on October 7th and ends again on October 11th. In addition to the event, there are cool hoverboards in the item shop, including the brand new “zBoard 83 Hummelsing”. You can start the event through special NPCs that you can find as Exiles in Thayd at the Champions’ Corner. Subjects of the Dominion, on the other hand, go to the magnificent Illum and look for the zPrix NPC at the Conqueror’s Square.
