The reports about Carbine’s fight against botters and cheaters keep coming. Thousands are being banned, as a dev mentions how he personally wrote a ticket for each botter in the style of a space meter maid. Yet the complaints and issues are like a space hydra. Every fallen botter seems to be immediately replaced by two new ones. There are PvE bots that only become briefly visible when they materialize in front of the hard-working player to steal his resource nodes. And in PvP, bots make some battlefields unplayable.
At every opportunity, the developers encourage players to use two-factor authentication. Most of the bots are hacked accounts of players who haven’t protected themselves well enough. With two-factor authentication, players are on the safe side.
