In WildStar , the release of the new zone “Arkterra” is approaching, and a developer blog already reveals what the area holds.
A cold desert full of Osun mysteries
Currently, players can try out the new zone “Arkterra” in WildStar on the test realm. Almost simultaneously, a very detailed blog post about the new area has been published. Gary Astleford, the lead story designer of the game, introduces the various smaller areas of Arkterra and reveals how players can earn the numerous rewards available there. Plenty of Osun scheming
From a story perspective, Arkterra is an undiscovered continent and is historically linked to the actions of the OMNIkern. The Guardian has discovered this area to uncover further secrets of the Eldan and thus also of the entity and Drusera. However, for a more detailed exploration, he needs the help of the Dominion and the Exiles. While the Exiles ally with Dorian Walker, members of the Dominion may look over the shoulder of the famous Artemis Zin and assist her.
The majority of Arkterra is covered in ice and snow, with only the ruins of the Osun standing out – and there are several of them. We have some screenshots to show you the surroundings.
At the center of the zone stands the Tattered Skull Tower. This is where most adventures begin and it is the hub for daily quests.
Rewards for all group sizes
Particularly high value has been placed on ensuring that groups of any size can access lucrative rewards during the creation of Arkterra. Solo players can fill a private progress bar by completing various events, challenges, or participating in the major events. Those who prefer to seek their fortune in a crowd can engage with the numerous bosses in the region.
Initially, stronger opponents for 2 players roam the map. Having defeated enough of them, the larger ones appear for 5-player groups, and finally, the world bosses for 20 players.
If that’s not enough, players can try to collect the 4 key fragments with their faction to unlock “Bor Milug”, deep Ktakombs with tough challenges from the Osun. Only one faction can unlock Bor Milug – access is thus exclusive, even if only for a limited time. Quick action is required!
