In an open letter, WildStar head Chad Moore assured that there is still a future for the colorful online role-playing game from Carbine in 2018. Additionally, Moore was satisfied with the course of 2017 in WildStar.
For Carbine’s fast-paced and colorful MMORPG WildStar, the year 2017 was a year full of important events. A whole slew of updates and events were introduced in the game in 2017. Among them were:
- The new Urmatrix progress system
- A new dungeon called “Coldblood Citadel”
- A new expedition “Evil from the Ether”
- The new difficulty level “Overwhelming” for existing content
- The “Homecoming Update”, in which you could finally connect housing into neighborhoods
- A housing competition and a recurring event for home building
In addition, there were the well-known events for Halloween, Christmas, and the Hoverboard zPrix. Carbine also gifted you a Level 50 hero!
WildStar head satisfied with 2017, looks forward to 2018!
Chad “Pappy” Moore, the head of WildStar, is therefore quite satisfied with the game and its performance in 2017 according to his open letter to the WildStar community. But what about the coming year? Does WildStar still have a future?
According to Chad Moore, definitely! Carbine and NCSoft are still behind the project. Therefore, the game will also be supported and developed in the foreseeable future.
What’s coming in 2018?
So WildStar will remain with us. However, Chad Moore did not give much detail about upcoming content this year in his post. He only confirmed that well-known events like Halloween or the Hoverboard zPrix will also return in 2018.
However, he (still) did not want to mention whether significant innovations will make it into the game. It remains exciting around WildStar.
The WildStar developers are likely planning new games. Will they be MMOs?
