The Western MMO Wild West Online is set to receive a major update this week – however, it will be accompanied by a wipe.
The update is currently being tested, which is why the team cannot yet say when the patch will be released. However, it should be ready this week. Even after the update, there will still be some placeholders, such as in the skill descriptions. In addition, the team is currently working on fixing larger bugs.
Many Improvements
The update, which is expected to be released by March 24, offers a range of new features and improvements:
- Improvements to female characters
- Weapons are supposed to have a greater variety of skins
- The entire lighting system will be overhauled, as a day-night cycle is coming into the game
- Optimizations to trees, grass, and other vegetation, which are expected to look better visually, and performance will be increased
You have to start over
The developers state that a wipe is necessary. When the update is released, the servers will be wiped clean. Your characters and your achievements will be lost, and you will have to start over. An exact release date for the online game has not yet been set.
The release of Wild West Online was postponed at the end of last year to further improve the game.
