The MMORPG Wild Terra has developed well and is now close to its official release.
With Wild Terra, the developers aimed to revive the gameplay of the classic Ultima Online, and according to many players, they have succeeded quite well. The sandbox elements allow for a lot of freedom. Essentially, you start with nothing and gradually build up. It is even possible to become the ruler of an entire kingdom.

From the Small Cabin to the Metropolis
Survival elements play a major role. You need to gather food and build your own weapons and armor, as well as a cabin. The further you progress in the game, the better weapons you create, the more effective your armor is, and the larger you expand your house.
You can team up with other players to establish towns. The economy is driven by the players themselves. You contribute to the thriving economy through resource gathering and crafting, ensuring that each player gets exactly what they need.
One point of criticism is that the game is very hard. The open PvP, for example, is not well received by everyone. You can essentially be attacked anywhere, and the attacker has the ability to take all your belongings. However, this will be somewhat mitigated at the official launch. Because then there will be several servers, including some where PvP will not be possible, and others that have a slightly lower difficulty. A public test server is also planned.

Release is Approaching
You won’t have to wait long for this official release. The Early Access phase of Wild Terra ends by the end of the year. After that, there will be a wipe and shortly thereafter, the official version will launch. The developers explain that all who spent money during the Early Access phase will be refunded the in-game currency and purchased items. So you can buy everything anew at launch.
If you miss the times of Ultima Online and can live with a somewhat outdated isometric graphics, Wild Terra may be of interest to you. In the game world, there are no NPCs, only players populate the land.
