In League of Legends: Wild Rift released on December 7, two new champions, the brothers Darius and Draven, were introduced. You can earn them for free through missions. We at MeinMMO will tell you how to do it.
The full release of LoL: Wild Rift is planned for 2021, but in Europe the beta of the LoL mobile version is already available now. Players can dive into the Free2Play adventure starting now.
Meanwhile, a new major update is already available. Patch 1.1 features not only some gameplay adjustments but also new champions. Before the monkey king Wukong, who is set to debut later this month, the “Brothers from Noxus”, Darius and Draven, will join the game.
Thus, they are among the currently playable 49 champions in Wild Rift.
Both come with alternate skins into the game:
- Academy Darius
- High Noon Darius
- Commentator Draven
- Soul Reaper Draven
How to get Darius or Draven
How good are the champions? In the current tier list in Wild Rift, Darius ranks in the A-Tier in the Toplane, while Draven is positioned in the B-Tier of the AD Carry list. Even though both are not necessarily the best of the best, there is a good argument for them: You can secure both champions at no additional cost.
However, you will have to choose one of the two. Both Darius and Draven are part of the event “The Brothers from Noxus”. This runs until December 23, 2020.
How does the event work? Here you have to complete missions to secure Noxian accessories and comic pages that tell the story of the brothers.
In total, there are 12 reward levels that you can unlock by completing missions. Already at level 7, you will receive the champion selection chest as a reward, from which you can choose one of the two champions.
Here you can find all the tasks of the event:
- Throwing Power: Play 4 games or win 1 game with shooter champions (AD carries)
- To the Death: Achieve 30 takedowns
- Glorious Execution: Play 4 games or achieve a kill streak with 4+ kills in a row.
- Do I Entertain You? Destroy 12 towers as a team
- Slice and Dice: Kill 300 minions as a team, or kill 150 minions
- Victory Laurels: Win 3 games, or win 1 game as a fixed team of 5 players
- The Sentencing: Defeat 3 Barons as a team
- Cut Down in Their Prime: Defeat 6 dragons as a team
- Cleave-Ho: Play 4 games, or win a game with warrior champions
- Unmatched Power: Deal 40,000 damage to enemy champions, or deal 5,000 damage to enemy champions within 5 seconds
- The Might of Hand: Play 4 games, or use your ultimate 12 times in a single game
- Brotherly Love: Earn 200,000 gold as a team, or earn 40,000 gold
