The year is coming to an end, and my guilty conscience plagued me last night. 2015 was the era of MMORPG expansions, and I really didn’t participate and see enough of it.
So let’s not waste another gaming evening with Armored Warfare, Heroes of the Storm, or Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, but rather return to my old love. Back to MMORPGs.
I had a rude awakening this year. I wanted to log in with my VR1 Khajit after the Buy2Play transition at The Elder Scrolls Online. TESO greeted me warmly and said: Here, re-skill your character. Here are about 80 skill points… Have fun!
Not a nice way to greet a returning player. Back then, I cautiously tiptoed back to the login screen and created a Twink. How would it be with other games?
- I hadn’t touched the Buy2Play game Guild Wars 2 since the Heart of Thorns expansion because I much preferred Twinking over playing at max level.
- I logged out of the Buy2Play horror MMORPG The Secret World in front of an ancient mummy in an Amani suit.
- And in the Pay2Play MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, I finally arrived in Ishgard, but then collapsed exhausted.
