With the “Scary-Beautiful Ticket” in Pokémon GO, 4 events are waiting in October for 5.99 € for the trainers. However, they are loudly complaining about 2 words and refuse to make a purchase yet.
What is this ticket about? The Scary-Beautiful Ticket is supposed to herald a little Halloween in Pokémon GO already now. Throughout October, you will receive a total of four Limited Research tasks, which you have until the end of the month to complete.
As a reward in these research tasks, there are “premium items” and event Pokémon, but also permanent bonuses that last throughout the month. In the best case, you will earn 1.5 times more XP and Stardust for the first catch of the day for up to 30 days.
The Limited Research tasks start every Thursday:
- October 5th from 10 AM: Schlingking returns in level 5 raids, and for the research, there are 3 Premium Battle Passes
- October 12th from 10 AM: In line with the Harvest Festival, there is also a Limited Research here. This time, there is a Moss Lure Module and additional encounters with Irrbis in sizes L and XL
- October 19th from 10 AM: Here, the Halloween event in Pokémon GO is supposed to start. With the Limited Research, you get 2 incubators and additional encounters with Paragoni
- October 26th from 10 AM: The Halloween event enters its second phase and the rewards of the research ramp up, offering 3 Silver Pinap Berries, 2 Super Incubators, 2 Rare Candies, and more encounters with Traunfugil and Paragoni
That’s at least what we know so far. Because under each Limited Research, there is a note that there could possibly be more items. This is indicated by the note “.. and more!” However, that particularly annoys the trainers.

What is the problem with the ticket? On the Pokémon GO subreddit, two things are being widely discussed regarding the ticket. Firstly, the content itself is under criticism. User Disguntled_Goat has summarized what you actually get for the price of 5.99 € (via Reddit).
In doing so, he concludes: “It’s not terrible, but assuming you also get 500 coins for it, you would get the items in specific boxes cheaper.” He receives a lot of support. He also points out that the addition “.. and more” could possibly just be some Pokéballs, Stardust, or EXP.
Another thread is solely dedicated to this issue by user Backalley_Lurker. They say “I’m not buying anything if I don’t know what I’m buying” and receive 800 upvotes and over 133 comments for it. They add to their statement, “and especially not if it’s time-limited” (via Reddit).
What do other trainers say? The comments under the thread see the situation similarly. Here, the postings vary from people who are genuinely upset to those who view the whole thing with humor. For example, bigfax337 writes: “The ‘..and more’ are anyway just about 1,000 XP and 500 Stardust. It’s like when you use ‘etc’ in an essay because you run out of examples.”
Other trainers simply suggest waiting. Once the event starts, you would find out all the details on Reddit and the internet anyway, and then you can still buy if it turns out to be worthwhile.
