7 Days Early Access to Story Missions
This is what story fans can expect: Initially, the pass offers every owner access to the story content of the three free DLC episodes seven days earlier, which are released over the course of the first year.
Developer Massive emphasizes that this refers exclusively to the story content. Other features, such as PvP modes or raids, will be unlocked for all users simultaneously.
Thus, players who can hardly wait can play the story content a week earlier. What exactly this content will look like is still unclear at this point. The first episode, “D.C. Outskirts”, includes two main missions.
Exclusive “Classified Assignments”
What are Classified Assignments? No details are known about this. Assignments, or missions, were already present in The Division 1.
However, these were weekly and daily challenges that could be completed to be rewarded with loot containers. The ISAC assignments were also included. These were story missions that appeared at regular intervals.
How exactly these assignments will look as part of the Year Pass is unclear. In the official description, it states that they will provide further background information on the downfall of Washington D.C. for you. The official Reddit post refers to them as “lore missions”.
