Pokémon GO is currently distributing really strong bonuses. Those who are looking for XP and plenty of Stardust should take advantage of this.
What’s happening in Pokémon GO? A new season has just started, following the previous one that ended with the global GO Fest. As part of this festival, the Hyperbonus was unlocked – and it’s currently bringing a lot of joy to the Pokémon GO community.
With the start of the new season, the first batch of Paldea Pokémon has come into play. The starters Krokel, Felori, and Kwaks are out in the wild, as well as the pig Pokémon Ferkuli. The latter is proving to be quite easy to catch and is just right for easy fabulous throws.
These throws give you an extra portion of XP – and right now, there’s plenty of that to go around. Because with the current event, two bonuses have come into play:
- The quadruple Stardust
- The quadruple XP
If you’re planning a walk, it may be worth using a Lucky Egg for 30 minutes, which doubles the XP again. This way, you can secure eight times the XP – and that’s a huge advantage when you’re leveling up.
One trainer even earned over 70,000 XP with just one throw, where everything just came together perfectly. Additionally, you can level up nicely through friendships. Stardust is also much appreciated in the meantime, as you can use it to enhance your monsters.
Especially special: These are not just one- or two-day bonuses. The first part of the event runs until September 10, and the second until September 15. There should still be the quadruple bonuses then.
Both XP and Stardust are among the two most important things you can collect in Pokémon GO. So now is a very good time to check out Pokémon GO. Also, because on September 10, the next batch of Paldea Pokémon will be added to the game. This is currently exciting the community, which has had to endure unpopular decisions in Pokémon GO over the course of the year.
The best event in ages
– Trainers praise season start
What does the community say? In the subreddit for Pokémon GO, there are currently positive voices about the new event. The user Animosity_7 shared a post in which he explains how much he celebrates the new event with the Paldea monsters and especially the XP. The combination of XP and fabulous throws has pushed him extremely forward on his way to level 50.
In the comments, there are many who are also excited about the event:
I also like it when I can catch something new. The XP don’t matter much to me, but the Stardust is fantastic. For me, it’s the best event in ages
, comments a user (via reddit).I love the dust bonus at this event
, comments another (via reddit):I’m farming like crazy. I just wish the starters were a bit easier to catch, even with fabulous throws they don’t always stay in the ball, haha. I love this event so much.
I thought the fossil event would be great, but this is even better

Critical voices only address the catch rate of the starters, which tend to break out, and the fact that sometimes you don’t have enough balls to catch the monsters one after the other. However, one user suggests that you should take advantage of the golden PokéStops, which are currently being found again in the game to refill the items there.
Overall, the event is well received. How about you? Or do you see problems with the current event? Let us know in the comments!
