PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is finally available in Germany as PUBG Mobile, playable for free on iOS and Android devices. The gameplay is very similar to the original on PC and Xbox One. You jump out of a plane with 99 other players over an island, search for weapons, and fight each other until only one remains.
The last survivor (or the last team) is crowned the winner with the phrase “Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner“. A truly impressive feat that very few players ever achieve.
Ironically, this is now happening regularly to people who can’t hit a barn door on PC or console. What’s behind it?
Noob on PC, Killer on Mobile?
Since PUBG Mobile was released in Germany, the USA, and other countries, the internet is full of jubilant players posting their kills and chicken dinners on Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit. 3, 4, 5, or even more kills suddenly seem to be commonplace!
Many players think to themselves, “Well, I just wasn’t that great on PC, but I understand the gameplay well. I have the advantage over the many total newbies, and with the simplified controls on mobile, I just hit better.”

For those who suddenly feel like the new John Wick or Rambo in PUBG Mobile because they’re racking up kills and chicken dinners by the dozen, there’s bad news: You’ve most likely been taking out a bunch of bots! Because according to a post on Reddit, PUBG Mobile fills matches generously with utterly clueless bots for new players.
This way, new players can experience success and gradually get better at the game.
The more you play and the better you get, the fewer bots and more real players should appear in your matches according to Reddit. A similar mechanic is also found in other shooters, including the hero shooter Paladins, where you encounter only bots as enemies until you reach a certain level.
So it’s quite likely that things work similarly in PUBG Mobile.
