In Destiny 2, the new raid starts today, on September 14th. Those who complete it quickly will receive exclusive rewards.
New World First Race: For years, it has been a tradition that Bungie awards the “World First” title at the launch of a new Destiny raid. The fireteam that completes the entire raid first is crowned the winner by Bungie and gains fame and glory in the Guardian community.
The developers closely monitor the raiders. Bungie often tweets pictures of the developers gathered around large screens, cheering on the best fireteams. A raid launch is a major event at Bungie – not just in the community.
At the launch of the new Forsaken raid “Last Wish”, which opens its doors on September 14th at 7 PM, there is more to win than just fame and glory. Bungie is giving out exclusive “real” rewards to the World First fireteam.
Exclusive Rewards for the World First
The grand prize that every Destiny fan would probably be thrilled about is this Champions Belt:
In the center, the raid logo stands out, with six ships and the current year 2018 on the sides. “World First” is written above the raid logo, below is the name of the raid “Last Wish” and a field for the player’s name. Destiny symbols are also included. Overall, the belt with its golden colors looks quite elegant and is impressive.
Each of the six Guardians in the World First fireteam will receive this belt. Bungie makes it clear: This is a real belt. A “real-world reward”. Not an in-game item. You can hang the belt on the wall or take it shopping.
The rules to win the belt: Be the first fireteam in the world to consist of six Guardians to complete the “Last Wish” raid. The fireteam must loot the last chest and then return to orbit.
The timer stops as soon as the team is in orbit. However, you must loot the last chest after the final boss encounter, otherwise, the time may not count. If you replace team members during the raid run, only those six players who complete the raid will receive the “World First” title and the belt.
Once the winners are verified by Bungie’s analytics team, the “World First” title will be awarded.
Additional Reward for the World First Guardians
Guaranteed Exotic: In addition to the belt, the World First Guardians are guaranteed to receive the Exotic “One Thousand Voices”. You can see it in this short clip:
This is a fusion rifle with solar damage that is held in the power slot. It fires a continuous beam that heats enemies up, causing them to explode after a delay.
Normally, “One Thousand Voices” is a rare drop, only available randomly during the final boss encounter in the Forsaken raid. The World First Guardians must loot the last chest in the raid to guarantee they receive the exotic.
Emblem for Fast Players
While previous rewards are only accessible to hardcore raiders, anyone can try to tackle this reward:
24 Hours to get the Emblem: However, you must also be quick and have Guardians with a high power level. This emblem is awarded to every player who masters the “Last Wish” raid within the first 24 hours.
That’s not all: If you successfully complete the raid by next Tuesday, September 18th, 2018 at 7 PM, you will gain access to purchase this jacket in the Bungie Store:
This raid-themed jacket is not awarded for free. You only earn the right to buy it. The price is not known. The jacket can be personalized with your player name.
To obtain this jacket, you must complete the raid on time, confirm the triumph in-game, and then get the code at the Bungie Rewards before the next weekly reset on September 18th. You have until September 30th to make the purchase with the code.
Update: Here is our detailed raid guide to Last Wish.
Are you trying to secure one or another of these rewards?
By the way: According to Bungie’s DeeJ, all previous World First Guardians who completed the Normal mode of all raids, back to the Vault of Glass, will also receive a belt retroactively.
